Will this Committee consider the anomalies already there with regard to the pension of Pre 1986 retiree Majors. An officer who had pt in over 9 years of service in civil under Central Govt(2/3rd of which was to be counted toward qualifying service for pension)followed by 19 years of Commissioned service and retiring as Major on 31 Aug 1985. Shold he get only Major's pension when an officer today gets this rank in just 6 years. What a REWARD for having fought in Army when after 1962 war so many of us left their lucrative jobs and joined Defence services for the country.
Does it mean that April Pension is OLD pension, If the effective date is fixed at 1 April 2014, what with all these meetings ? Is it "delay tactic "
As usual; One Committee and another one. The MOD is bent upon delaying if not deniying the benifits to the Armed Forces. the MOD is truely " ANTI ARMED FORCES>
Do UPA intends to execute OROP or leave the credit to next govt.
Looks it is another stage managed ploy just before the elections in certain decisive states where ESM votes matter. Let us see the turn of events after 16 may!!
@Maj R P Sehgal : Anomalies of the kind you have mentioned are in urgent need of rationalisation and RDOA have already taken up a case.
Now it is a matter of following up on the issues raised by RDOA as well as those directly related to the ones mentioned in the communication by RDOA.

Will we have to wait till May 16 for OROP or is it coming before that?
Good news for pre 2006 retirees. Curative petition of UOI for grant of modified parity to pre 2006 retirees has been dismissed by the HSC on 30.4.14. This is now applicable to all Central Govt Employees wef 1.1.06.
