MEETING WITH COAS

Various ESM organizations representative met COAS (Chief of Army the Staff)  today  and  brought  out  the various  suggestions/problems  faced  by  veterans. Adjutant General, DG C&W, MD ECHS, ADG (PS), DDG DIAV and their Staff Officers were also present. Important  points raised during interaction were:- (a)  Delay in equalisation of OROP w.e.f July 2019. (b)  Non availability of medicines in  ECHS polyclinic. (c)  Anomalies in pension PBOR. (d)  Withdrawal of Income Tax exemptions        (veterans who have superannuated  with Disability). (e)  Implementation of recommendations of Committee       of   Experts.  (f) Disbursement of pension by PCDA(Pen) in place of       Banks i.e CPPC.     (g) Constitution of Veterans Commission. Veterans were assured that progress on these points would be given in fortnight time and meeting with CGDA as requested by President, IESL regarding point (f) mentioned above  will be  arranged shortly.
