PCDA (O) vide letter No,
PSC/PM-2016-17 dated 22/07/2022 has informed that there are 4750 veterans to
whom arrears of Rank Pay have not been released in compliance of Hon’ble
Supreme Court’s judgment dated 04/09/2012.
All veterans and NOK are
advised to look the appendix and if their/pensioners service number is there,
to take necessary action as advised in the said message.

COMMUTATION : PENSION
Govt of India Ministry of Personnel, PG & Pensions vide
Office Memorandum 42/15/2022-P&PW(D)/4 and 5 dated 25th Oct 2022
has clarified that
in accordance with Rule 5 of
CCS (Commutation of Pension) Rules, 1981
a Government servant
can commute for a lump-sum payment of an amount not exceeding 40 per
cent of his pension. The amount of pension so commuted is deducted from
subsequent monthly pensions.
It is clarified that commuted amount of pension is not
required to be deducted from family pension and family pension shall be paid in
full.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR ALL PENSIONERS 1. The wife’s name and DOB
to match in the following four documents. (a) Pension Payment
Order (b) Pension Bank Account
(Joint) (c) Wife’s Aadhar Card (d) Wife’s PAN Card 2.
If the name of wife is different in Aadhar
Card and PAN card then get it corrected before applying
for change of name in PPO, thereafter apply to MP 5 (B). They

OROP UPDATE
Government application for extension was heard today i.e 16/09/2022. Govt
counsel confirmed that all details have been worked out except Cabinet approval
which will come soon. Hon’ble Judge rejected the plea of IESM’s lawyer, who had
asked for 8% interest on arrears. Judge granted time till 16/12/2022 for
payment of arrears.

IMPORTANT POINTS TO ALL PENSIONERS All pensioners must
ensure the followings when alive:- (a)
Pension account should be a joint account. (b) The wife’s Name and Date of Birth must match with PPO, Bank Pension Account, her Aadhar card and PAN card. If these are
different, then get them corrected from appropriate authority. (c)
Keep original & corrigendum PPOs (if
issued) at a safe place (known to wife). (d)
Make 2/3 Xerox copies of PPO and keep it at
different places.
