 DEFENCE PENSION ADALAT IN MYSURU

1.      159th Defence Pension Adalat will be held at Kanatak Kala Mandir, Mysuru on 23rd and 24th August, 2018 for redressal of grievances of Defence pensioners including Defence Civilians drawing pension through PUBLIC SECTOR BANKS, TOs� and DPDOs in the State of Karnatak and adjoining areas.

1.      “RETIRED DEFENCE OFFICERS ASSOCIATION” is a registered body with its office at Flat No. 27-A, DDA SFS Flats, Pocket-1, Sector-7, Dwarka, New Delhi-110075. RDOA is a tri services association. Total Members as on date are 3737 including Gen & equivalents 01. Lt Gen & equivalents 46, Maj Gen & equivalents 181, Brig & equivalents 574, NRIs 21.

3.  Our association is not affiliated to any political party but we do raise various issues with the Government. Some of them are;-

     

       (a) Decline in Status of the Armed Forces.

       (b) Junior ranks drawing higher pensions than senior ranks.

       (c) Broad banding and war injury of disability element.

       (d) Minimizing litigations.

4.    RDOA has also been successful in winning cases in Hon’ble Supreme Court. Some of them are:-

(a)     4^th CPC rank pay anomaly case. (reference Maj Dhanapalan’s case)

(b)     Minimum Guaranteed Pension i.e arrears of pension from 01.01.2006 to 23.09.2012 to Pre 2006 pensioners.

(c)  Broad Banding of Disability Pension to persons who are superannuated.

DEARNESS ALLOWANCE

DA from July 2018 payable to Central Government Employees and Pensioners is estimated to be 9%. 2% increase in Dearness Allowance is expected from the Month of July 2018.

TRIBUTES

            Lt Col Inder Singh Rawat,  KC, WW II veteran (Only Centurion member RDOA) passed away on 31^st May 2018 at Dehradun (UK). We deeply mourn his sad demise and pray to Almighty to bestow peace on the departed soul and grant courage to his bereaved family.
