Update Rank Pay Anomaly case
The case had come up for hearing today-06 Dec 10.The next date of hearing has been fixed for 03 Jan 2011.
It is understood from the web site of the Hon'ble Supreme Court that an adjournment was sought by the advocate for the respondents and was granted, as displayed in the Record Of Proceedings.
This is not a delay that is ascribable to the Government.
For the benefit of all the adjournment was asked by the respondents and was granted.It was necessary.Circumstantial.The case was posted in the court of Justice RM Lodha.
Has any one read the additional affidavit signed by Under Secy, MoD? If so, what is the gist? MoD cannot or will not pay the arrears even if the Review Petition is decided in favour of the Armed Forces Officers?

Please let us know What exactly transpired during the hearing ?
It was refered to the CJI for another Bench minus Justice Katju. So who heard it to set the next date of hearing?

Its on the causelist for 13/12/2010 too.

Case was heard on 3/1/2011. Final hearing is on 24/1/2011. Wish ourselves better luck this time
