Update:IV Pay Commission Rank Pay Anomaly Case
It is intimated that the case was heard today ie 24 Feb 2011 in the Court of Justice Shri Aftab Alam & Justice Shri RM Lodha ( Court No 12).There were partial arguments on the pay fixation as per recommendations of the IV Pay Commission. The court has asked UOI to file an affadivit on the pay fixation done for civilian officers drawing the same basic pay as army officers at the time of fixation on 01/01/1986 as recommended by the IV Pay Commission. The next date of hearing has been fixed as 08 Mar 2011.

@ Col Satwant
Sir,
Contrary to our expectations Courts always find a new way to postpone case till next hearing. Its indeed disappointing. However now GoI can't hide the fact that Army officers were indeed cheated while fixing rank pay, thanks to the new Affidavit required to be submitted. Lets wait for 8 Mar now!
THANKS,SIR.FOR THE GOD WORK DONE AND GOD ONLY KNOWS HOW MUCH LONGER.TO BE DONE.HOPE THE HONOURABLE COURT WILL PULL UP THE UoI/MoD FOR THIS PROTRACTED HARRASSMENT OF MOST OBEDIANT SOLDIERS OF INDIA.
Very Logical question by the Court. I hope the Govt lawyers so not confuse the court by giving long tales in the affidavit.
Grateful to RDOA Office bearers for the perseverance and tenacity in following through this case. Col. T N Baba
Light at the other end of tunnel would be visible soon! I appreciate your tenacity. Ultimately Truth has to prevail. In our profession success comes only after a hard fight. Surely, Our Advocates understand tacties of the Opponent and would do what must be done, in good time. Keep it up.
This is a welcome update. 08 March is not exactly in the distant future and everyone affected can wait till then to obtain a clearer picture. There is no mention of the 'Affidavit' in the rather brief 'Record Of Proceedings' containing the order
sirs, of course, 08 mar is not far away. we can still wait. the govt has to bear the burden of more interest.
By the by who had argued on behalf of rdoa?
