Update IV CPC Rank Pay Case

As on 05 May 2011.
The UOI made a mention and request that the Solicitor General would not be available on 06 May 2011, as such fresh date be given. Our Senior Advocate informed the Court that since the last four to five hearings the SG is not appearing. Justice Aftab Alam told UOI that this be conveyed to the SG and he should be present at the next hearing. The next date has been fixed on 11 July 2011.

Well.. don't know really what to say to this! Why can't SC just go ahead without SG, surely there are other lawyers in UoI's camp?

This game has been going on for months now. For how long will the judges keep tolerating this nonsense?

I Hope the RDOA will have this published in the newspapers so that the UPA Govt's game can be revealed to the public at large.

Is there any reason for the "Court Orders" between 04 January 2011 and 04 May 2011 not being listed on the website of the Hon'ble Supreme Court?

@satty's corner - is the Senior Advocate Shri Harish Salve?

Seems the media - print and electronic have buried this item somewhere because there is never a mention anywhere about the delaying tactics of the UoI.

As a common man I would like to know whether the absence of the SG (for the absence of 4-5 times)can be considered as "CONTEMPT OF COURT" or not/ particularly when more than sufficiet time frame has been given by the SC.
Also why then the SC cannot go ahead with some "EX-PARTY HEARING OF THE CASE?

The SG has resigned on 9th July. It is again doubtful if he attends case hearing on 11th July. He is deeply involved in 2G case also, being heard in SC on same day ie 11th July. Looks like another postponement of decision.
