Along with broad banding issue there is another one which is of immediate importance. After the recent revision of pension the CDA and Ministry are refusing to admit disability pension as per the revised rates in accordance with the existing orders. this should also be discussed and taken up. If pension changes automatically disability portion also should change.

The agenda points include the issue of rationalisation of pre AVS-I Lt Col pensioners. I had mentioned this nearly 11 months ago in a comment.

A great many veterans are affected by this. If RDOA could clearly lay out the matter in detail and bring out the plans and means to rectify this anomaly, I have a feeling affected veterans in significant numbers would come forth to join hands with RDOA on this particular issue.

So far the subject has been clubbed with other matters in blog-posts and, as a result, not been sufficiently highlighted in exclusivity on RDOA's blogs.

Perhaps greater focus on this could create a critical mass of pensioners to carry the matter forward under the auspices of RDOA.

There is a big issue with regards to pre2006(Pre AVS promotions) Lt Cols. If govt is reluctant other means including legal course could also be considered.Necessary financial support can also be extended to RDOA in this regard

The agenda point includes Major's pension. However pre AV SinghRetd Majors pension may also be included as there are many affected retd majors with more than 13 years service and unfortunately retd before AV Singh report implementation
