Dear Sir,
I have mentioned one case of Rank Pay anomaly in 2020, but did not get reply. I am putting it again. If an Officer was Captain as on 01.01.1986, as per Supreme Court Order followed by MoD letter of 2012 his Basic Pay of Rs.2800 will get merged with his Rank Pay of Rs.200, thus making his new Basic Pay of Rs.3000/- per month and in addition, Rank Pay of Rs.200. Same Officer gets promoted to the rank of Major on 01.01.1986, as I understand his new Basic Pay should become Rs.3400+Rs.600= Rs.4000/-. If I understand correctly about removal of Rank Pay anomaly then it is right. Indecently, it is not happening in Air Force. Air Force has removed anomaly as on 01.01.1986 and on 01.01.1996.
What should be done in such case?

It was applicable to all i.e Army, Navy and Air Force. To best of my knowledge all who were holding the rank of Captain to Brigadier and equivalents as on 01.01.1986 there Basic Pay was revised and arrears were paid.
