RDOA has always maintained a high degree of transparency while disseminating information. The Minutes of AGM conform to that healthy tradition.

The next hearing is less than a month away. One can't help but wonder, on account of the recent developments and Govt. pronouncements regarding anomalies, whether the UOI would exercise discretion and not subject RDOA to needless further judicial harrasment as I have mentioned in a comment in another Blog.

Rank Pay case pertains to 4th Pay Commission and the Anamoly Commee is supposed to look into 6th Pay Commission. They are poles apart and totally unconnected with each other. We must have faith in judicial system.

@ S Chander: Not poles apart. You may have missed the point there. It's all about a change of attitude on part of MOD. If inplace of stone-walling on OROP, NFFU, rationalisation, the ministry is now actually in the process of rethinking, then it has to be based on genuine poltical compulsions. This change in orientation could extend to issues like the IV CPC rank pay case. Of course, if there are clerical minds at work in MOD as well, they too could reason these issues are "unconnected".

btw, If the IV CPC rank pay case does get finalised on 4th Sep, as we all wish it to be, the result may definitely affect the post 6th pay pensionary benefits as well. So in another sense, the two would have been proven to be less than poles apart.

Jai Hind, Happy Independence Day.

So yet another opportunity for the Govt to do justice by the Armed Forces has flown off the ramparts of the Red Fort.

Now we await the mercies of the Ajit Seth Committee (sans Armed Forces representatition but replete with the hurdles life the Secy Exp, Ex-Servicemen welfare etc)to file their report and then await the Govt's mercy.

Finally, I regret having defended Gen (retd) VK Singh when everyone wanted his hide and baton. It was nauseating seeing him offer cocnut water to Anna Hazare who has lost all credibiity and confabulating with Baba Ramdev, who never had any credibility.

Dear Col Sharma,

We exchanged mails, not possible for me to go to bank and get draft and send it to become member. Online transfer you said not possible.

Now let us come to point. The case which Maj Dhanapalan fought pertains to deduction of rank pay before arriving to the fixation of basic pay. The observation and his point was true and very well commented and all those who were in service in the ranks of Capt to Brig are all affected. Rank pay was introduced in IVth CPC. It was continued in Vth CPC. In fixing of pay of Capts to Brig in IVth CPC on 01 Jan 1986 the MOD official deducted the rank pay and fixed our basic pay may be to come at par with civilian counter parts. then the rank pay was shown separately in pay slips. The civilian crowed achived their aim in this. Thanks to Mah Dharmapalan who got this point. But has any one realised what had happened in fixing of pay in Vth CPC. The manipulators (MOD) I mean CDA (O) has given the rank pay to mcivilian counter parts also. Just see your payslip of Jan 1998 and the dacuments attached there to by CDA. Cant explain everything here

I already taken up case and after getting reply from CDA (O) it will be another court case in AP High Court.

I already made a case on Vth CPC pay fixation.

Let us see. What will happen.
