Supreme Court Rejects Soldiers Plea

RDOA had filed an Intervention application in a petition filed by Army personnel protesting dilution of protection from prosecution under AFSPA in disturbed area for alleged fake encounters. Case was heard by Hon’ble Supreme Court on 30^th Nov 2018 and  said “Should the real culprit behind an encounter be found out? When Army or Centre does not take any action, should the truth not be found out through an enquiry?”  Ms Aishwarya Bhati our advocate had said “The Country that doubts its soldiers and their martyrdom is bound to lead to a collapse of its sovereignty”

RDOA suggest that Chief of Army Staff must take up this issue with Government to take necessary steps to ensure that AFSPA is not diluted.
